Maintenance Management Division is responsible for organization, planning and control of the regular routine for the Technical Department.
MMD performs the following activities:
- coordination of general activities of the Technical Department;
- control over correct keeping of technical maintenance documents at every stage of equipment’s maintenance to comply with the requirements of the leading documents;
- introduction of new document outlines for all Technical Department Divisions;
- cooperation with Latvian Civil Aviation Administration and other organizations for technical maintenance issues;
- organization and control of document circulation within the Technical Department.
MMD is also responsible for:
- organization and control for compliance with labour protection and fire safety regulations,
- management of metrological services,
- cooperation with Latvia Telecommunication State Inspection in matters of utilization of air navigation frequency spectrum, and for issuing or extension of licenses for LGS radio equipment,
- activities to maintain the quality system,
- preparatory arrangements to get-ready for introduction of ATC safety system at the Technical Department,
- participation in international organizations and work groups for technical maintenance, quality and safety matters.
