Dāvids Tauriņš
Chairman of the Board
Mr. Tauriņš was appointed as Chairman of the Board in March 2010 and is responsible for the strategic and operational management of LGS, Latvian air navigation service provider delivering safe and sustainable air traffic management services in Latvian airspace since 1991. He will hold office until March 23, 2026.
Since joining LGS, Mr. Tauriņš has had various roles and positions in international ATM industry forums and organisations, among them chairmanship of ANSB, Air Navigation Services Board at Eurocontrol, the European Organisation for the Safety of Air Navigation. He is a member of the CEO Board of NEFAB, the North European Functional Airspace Block, and the CEO Board of Borealis Alliance, strategic business cooperation between nine North European air navigation service providers.
A lawyer by education, Mr. Tauriņš holds a doctor’s degree in law, and prior to taking his office at LGS has held a number of senior management positions in Ministry of Finance, commercial banking, and business sectors in Latvia. He has an excellent command of Latvian, English and Russian.
