Aeronautical Information Service (AIS)

Latvian AIS provides the following aeronautical information services:

  1. Distribution service, by which the following aeronautical information products are distributed to the next intended user:
  • Electronic Aeronautical Information Publication (AIP) (eAIP), including AIP Amendments and AIP Supplements, Aeronautical Information Circular (AIC) and aeronautical charts;
  • NOTAM;
  • Digital terrain and obstacle data sets.
  1. Pre-flight information service, by which the intended user is briefed before flight using PIBs.
  2. Post-flight information service, by which the user reports an irregularity during aeronautical procedures.

LGS briefing unit is established to distribute pre-flight and collect post-flight information on behalf of AIS provider. Pre-flight information is made available by means of LGS Integrated Briefing System: https://ibs.lgs.lv.
