Any person may obtain information about the unmanned aircraft systems (UAS) geographical zones established within the airspace of the Republic of Latvia, where unmanned aircraft flights are restricted, prohibited, or subject to specific conditions.
The Electronic Unmanned Aircraft Restrictions Viewer (eUARV) provides a user-friendly interactive map displaying active UAS geographical zones. The map is available on the LGS website: https://airspace.lv/drones/en, and the information it contains is updated every 5 minutes.
Information on the procedures for conducting unmanned aircraft flights (types of coordination) in the vicinity of Liepāja International Airport, Riga International Airport, and the Lielvārde military airfield is available in the “Services” section.
A dataset of UAS geographical zones in JSON format is available here.
Answers to frequently asked questions about the unmanned aircraft sector—including UAS operator registration, flight application and coordination procedures, and other operational aspects—are provided in dedicated explanatory materials (FAQ). Additional information and guidance (in Latvian only) are available on the website of the State Agency “Civil Aviation Agency”: droni.caa.gov.lv .
Please note that applications for unmanned aircraft flights within UAS geographical zones are submitted via the Unmanned Aircraft Information System (CAA BGKIS), maintained by the State Agency “Civil Aviation Agency”: https://e.caa.gov.lv/.
